This Privacy Policy explains how SCITIS LLC and SCITIS GROUP SAS (“we”) collects, uses, and protects information obtained from your QuickBooks Online account when you use our application integrated with Intuit’s APIs and AWS AppFlow.
By authorizing our application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Parties Involved
- (You) Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando A company that owns a licensed QuickBooks Online account and has granted our application permission to access your financial data.
- Intuit Inc.: The provider of QuickBooks Online. Intuit manages your data under its own Privacy Policy.
- (We) SCITIS LLC and SCITIS GROUP SAS: The developer and operator of the application that connects your QuickBooks account to AWS AppFlow.
2. What Data We Access
Upon your explicit authorization via Intuit OAuth2, our application accesses the following information from your QuickBooks Online account:
- Company profile and configuration
- Customer and vendor lists
- Transactions: invoices, payments, expenses, journal entries, etc.
- Accounts, balances, and classifications
- Employee and payroll summary data (if available)
We do not access:
- User login credentials or passwords
- Any data you have not authorized during the OAuth consent process
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely for the following purposes:
- To extract and transfer authorized QuickBooks data to AWS AppFlow
- To enable downstream analytics, reporting, or storage in your AWS environment
- To ensure operational performance and error logging of the integration
We do not use your data for marketing, resale, or any purpose not explicitly described in this policy.
4. Data Transmission and Storage
- All data is accessed via encrypted connections using OAuth 2.0 and HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
- No data is stored persistently on our servers unless explicitly agreed to in a service contract.
- Data is transferred to your designated AWS environment using AWS AppFlow and its secure connectors.
- We do not retain financial records or metadata unless required for audit or debugging purposes.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your data with third parties outside:
- AWS (as the infrastructure destination explicitly configured by you)
- Intuit (as the source of data and authorization provider)
- Internal staff under strict confidentiality and only for operational purposes
We may disclose information only if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain OAuth tokens and logs only as long as necessary to operate the integration and comply with legal obligations. Upon request or upon disconnection of the app, all data and tokens will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Revoke consent at any time by disconnecting our app via QuickBooks
- Request access to or deletion of data we have accessed on your behalf
- Contact us with any concerns about data usage
8. Security Measures
- We follow AWS best practices for access control, auditing, and encryption
- Only authorized personnel have access to integration systems and logs
- We regularly monitor for unauthorized access attempts or security vulnerabilities
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as necessary. You will be notified via email or our website if any material changes are made.
